All slow cookers come equipped with a lid, usually a glass transparent lid that fits perfectly on the edge of the pot.

This cover is essential to the process of slow cooking. It keeps moisture in the crockpot from escaping, therefore keeping the food inside from drying out after long periods of cooking.
